What makes it even better is that the 60-day visa-free stay can also be extended for 30 more days.

Thailand Visa Updates for the Indian travelers

Thailand has introduced major travel changes that directly impact the Indian travelers. Earlier Indian travelers had to deal with a visa on arrival process that required paperwork and long queues at the airport. The new update has removed the hassle of these requirements for the eligible short stays.

With the introduction of visa-free stay, Thailand is also implementing a tourist entry fee of 300 Thai baht (roughly Rs. 860) for foreign travelers arriving by air.

Things to Prepare Before You Go

Though Thailand has introduced visa-free entry for the Indians, you still need some documents.

  • Travel Documents you’ll need:
  • A valid passport
  • Hotel bookings or proof of accommodation if you’re staying with a friend or relative
  • A return flight or onward ticket to show the duration of stay
  • Filled out Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) should be submitted 3 days before the trip.

Important Visa Rules

  • You should not work on visa-free entry.
  • The duration of the visa should not be exceeded. The 60-day visa can be extended for 30 more days if required.
