The United Arab Emirates launched a nomination-based Golden Visa Scheme. This is a lifetime residency permit for Indians. But the one-time cost of AED 1,00,000 (23 lakhs) isn’t enough. There are certain terms and conditions. It is a nomination-based visa for Indian and Bangladeshi citizens for a lifetime residency in Dubai for a one-time cost of AED 1,00,000.
Eligibility and qualifications required for an individual to apply for the UAE Lifetime Golden Visa
Although the news evoked interest among Indians, the process for the UAE Golden Visa is not that simple. The UAE government mentioned that the eligibility depends on professional merit, clean records, and positive nomination results.
The Golden Visa is a long-term residential permit to stay in the UAE. It grants holders the permission to live, work, or study in the country. Besides, it offers multiple-entry options. So, no requirements for sponsors. But, paying 23 lakhs won’t give you the freedom to get the visa. Each applicant must go through a specific screening process depending on their profession. Apart from that, other factors need to be checked, like societal contributions and perceived economic value for the country.
Rayad Group, one of the agencies in the UAE providing the nomination process, said, “This is a golden opportunity for the Indians,” but clarified that “final approval lies with the UAE authorities.” Only trusted agencies in Dubai provide the visa service. You won’t need to invest in a business or property. But the approval process depends entirely on your personal and professional background.
The Golden Visa is mainly for mid-career professionals, entrepreneurs, and those who have created a positive impact in fields like healthcare, innovation, etc. Applicants have to go through multiple screenings, such as criminal record verification, money laundering, and social media audits. Once these checks clear, the applicant will be nominated. After that, they will get a 10-year renewable visa.
