Your journey begins with a warm welcome at Almaty International Airport, where a representative from Efficient Tourism will be ready to assist you. After a smooth meet and greet, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is left free for you to relax and settle in, giving you time to unwind after the flight and take in the first impressions of this vibrant city. An overnight stay at the hotel sets the perfect tone for the adventures ahead.

This 1100m hill on the city’s southeast edge is crowned by a 372m-high TV tower, visible from far and wide, and offers stunning views of the city and surrounding mountains. The easy way up is by a smooth cable car ride.
At the top, you’ll find several cafés and restaurants, craft shops, a roller coaster, a mini zoo, an ‘I Heart Almaty’ sign, a children’s playground, and life-sized bronze statues of the four Beatles. Installed in 2007 at the initiative of local fans, this monument by Almaty sculptor Eduard Kazaryan is said to be the only one in the world featuring all four together. Visitors can even sit beside a guitar-strumming John on the bench.
Kok Tobe Park, with its crystal-clear air, warm hospitality, and endless charm, is one of the most iconic landmarks of Almaty and Kazakhstan. Located at an altitude of 1,100 meters above sea level, the park’s highlights include the Zoo Park, Central Park, Dolphinarium, and the cable car ride.
Visit to the Green Bazaar- one of the oldest marketplaces in the city with more than 100 years of history. Once an important trading hub since 1875, it still carries the atmosphere of a lively oriental bazaar. Guests can shop for fresh fruits, vegetables, souvenirs, and local delicacies while experiencing the city’s rich cultural diversity. Vendors here reflect the ethnic mix of Kazakhstan: Kazakhs selling fresh dairy and meat, Uzbeks and Tajiks offering fruits and vegetables, Koreans serving spicy salads and snacks, and Russians known for pickles and herbal teas.

Breakfast at the hotel and proceed to the Shymbulak Mountain Resort Tour.
The mountain journey begins with a drive to the Medeo tract (1690 meters above sea level), where you will transfer to the gondola road to reach Shymbulak. A breathtaking 20-minute cable car ride takes you above the tops of coniferous trees, leading to the first level of the resort (2260 meters above sea level), where stunning views of the surrounding mountains and natural beauty unfold. Here, the atmosphere creates a true sense of harmony with nature.
At Shymbulak Mountain Resort, visitors can enjoy a variety of activities (available at an additional cost), including Alpine Park, GORILLA Zipline, paragliding, horse riding, Rope Park “Shymba,” quad bike tours, and cargo taxi “Chimba.” Winter activities such as ice skating, skiing, and snowboarding are also available. Medeo ski rink offers the unique experience of skating at one of the world’s highest mountain rinks.

Big Almaty Lake is one of the most stunning natural attractions near Almaty, famous for its turquoise waters and majestic mountain surroundings. This 1.6 km-long lake sits in a rocky bowl at an altitude of 2,500 meters, beautifully reflecting the Tian Shan peaks and giant fir trees. As it serves as a major water source, swimming is prohibited, but visitors can enjoy the serene views, hike around, and capture breathtaking photos. Border guards are present in the area, and climbing on the dam is not allowed. In case the road is closed by the guards, an alternate option will be arranged.
The tour continues to Alma-Arasan Gorge, also known as Prohodnoye Gorge, located at around 1,780 meters above sea level in the Trans-Ili Alatau foothills, just 15 km southwest of Almaty. Surrounded by spruce forests, alpine meadows, granite cliffs, and flowing rivers, this gorge is a naturally idyllic escape into the heart of Kazakhstan’s landscapes.
