The UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security recently denied the rumored news on lifetime Golden Visas. As per ICP, a consultancy spread fake news on the nomination process for the approval of the Golden Visa applications. However, it is complete misinformation. The alleged rumors revealed that a few nationalities are eligible for the lifetime Golden Visas.
ICP confirmed in one of the statements that only the governing body will set the official laws. So, eligibility criteria, conditions, and requirements for the Golden Visa will be set by the officials. The interested ones must visit the official website of ICP. ICP emphasized submitting the applications for Golden Visas via official government sites in the UAE. Apart from that, no internal or external consultancy is eligible to handle the application processing.
ICP Denies Fake News on Lifetime UAE Golden Visas
ICP warned everyone regarding the lifetime Golden Visas. They said one of the overseas consultancies claimed that people can get lifetime Golden Visas from outside the country. But these claims don’t have any legal basis. Moreover, the UAE authorities don’t approve it or even know about it. So, ICP may take legal action against the entities spreading fake news to allegedly scam people. It is nothing but a way to solicit money from people planning to stay in the UAE.

NOTE: The Golden Visa is a residence permit for foreign nationals (under a government nomination category). It is a long-term permit issued for 5 to 10 years for work, live, or study in the UAE without requirements for sponsorship. There are other Dubai visa types- 30 days and 60 days, or 48 hours and 96 hours. But these are strictly for tourism purposes.
One of the officials from Quality Government Service Centre in Dubai Investment Park 1 said, “On the day we read the news, we knew this was fake. There is no such thing as a ‘Lifetime Golden Visa.”
Some abroad consultancies reportedly charge AED 40,000 to process Golden Visas. However, the actual charge is approximately AED 3000 (excluding medical tests and Emirates ID costs).
